Police in York Region have recovered a large amount of stolen items -- including parts of a coin collection and jewelry -- and are looking to reunite them with their rightful owners.

The investigation began back in August when officers began probing a break-and-enter at a home near Ninth Line and St. John’s Sideroad in Whitchurch-Stouffville.

Last week, the investigation apparently led officers to a single suspect who was ultimately arrested.

Upon executing a search warrant at the suspect’s residence, police said they found a “significant amount of property” they believe to have been stolen.

In a news release on Wednesday, police released a link to an online photo gallery displaying an array of recovered goods.

Among the alleged stolen goods are dozens of collectable coins, gold rings, watches, and necklaces.

If you recognize any of the items in the photo gallery as yours, or if you have information pertaining to the investigation, York Regional Police ask that you contact them at 1-886-876-5423, ext. 7542 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

A suspect identified as 40-year-old Vaughan resident Kenneth McMillan has been charged with break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and breach of probation.

He is scheduled to make an appearance in a Newmarket court on Dec. 2.
