A 48-year-old Vaughan resident has been arrested following the death of a man stabbed at a nightclub late last month.
York Regional Police placed a suspect in custody Wednesday night in connection to the death of 29-year-old Evan Gorgees.
Gorgees, of Toronto, died after he was stabbed in a parking lot 8000 Highway 27 West, near Highway 7, early on July 22.
Police said officers arrived at the scene of the stabbing and found several individuals fighting and one male suffering from stab wounds. Police said Gorgees and others involved in the fight had been patrons of the adjacent Al-Finjan night club.
Azize Sepan, 48, of Vaughan, was arrested without incident on Wednesday. He was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
