A young woman convicted of fraud for faking cancer has now been accused of shoplifting.

Ashley Kirilow is due to appear in a Hamilton courtroom for a bail hearing on Friday after spending 11 days in jail on shoplifting charges.

The 24-year-old has been accused of stealing $11 worth of cold medicine from a grocery store.

Kirilow has been making headlines since late 2010 when she admitted to pretending to be terminally ill to collect thousands of dollars from sympathetic donors.

In that case, the Burlington, Ont. woman pleaded guilty to fraud over $5,000 and another charge of fraud under $5,000.

She served 10 months of house arrest and is still carrying out her two-year probation sentence.
