Two people are in hospital -- one with life-threatening injuries -- after a home invasion at a west-end apartment complex early Sunday morning.
The incident happened shortly before 1:30 a.m. Sunday at an apartment building on Chalkfarm Drive, near Jane Street and Wilson Avenue.
Police said a group of males forced their way into an apartment and assaulted the occupants with a weapon.
One of the occupants, a woman in her mid-20s, was taken to the trauma care centre at Sunnybrook Hospital with life-threatening injuries, including a head injury, police said. Another male victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said there were at least two occupants in the home when the incident occurred.
No suspects have been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
