A woman in her 30s has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was stabbed Thursday morning.

Const. Wendy Drummond says police received a 911 call at about 8:30 a.m. and were called to a location on Roselawn Ave., in the Dufferin St. and Eglinton Ave. area.

Drummond says police could hear a victim screaming in the 911 call. When they arrived, they found a woman with serious, life-threatening injuries.

A 27-year-old man was taken into police custody. Investigators are not sure if the attack was targeted or random.
