Peel police have a suspect in custody, hours after a 59-year-old woman was found murdered inside a Brampton home.
The suspect, who is the victim's 28-year-old son, was arrested in Pickering, Const. Adam Minnion confirmed to ctvtoronto.ca.
Police say the woman's body was found Monday afternoon by her family members inside their Brampton home. The body had obvious signs of trauma.
Police say they rushed to the home on Cornwall Road, near Kennedy Road and Queen Street, at about 4 p.m.
The suspect, Justin Lima, was arrested around 7 p.m. by officers in Durham region. They located the suspect driving a car through the Pickering area.
