A YouTube video taken at a punk rock show at Toronto’s Mod Club theatre shows a young woman being forcefully kicked in the back by the performing band’s frontman.

The video was taken on Sunday night as California band, The Story So Far, performed.

In the video, a female fan climbs on stage with a phone in her hand. As the woman starts to take a selfie, Parker Cannon, the leader singer of the band, approaches her from behind, jumps in the air and kicks the girl off stage.

The crowd is heard cheering immediately afterwards.

But managers at the Mod Club were far from impressed and have banned the band from playing the venue again.

Jorge Dias, the manager of The Mod Club, called the incident a “very cowardly act.”

“On behalf of the venue, we are appalled by the actions of the singer of the band The Story So Far and do not condole these actions by anyone,” Dias told CTV Toronto in an email statement.

“There was no report of injuries and the venue will not allow the band to play the venue again for their actions. I have never imagined and never seen anything like that at the venue in 14 years in operation.”

The video was posted by the YouTube account of Eli Zdanowicz.

“Parking [Cannon] gently caresses girl off stage with his foot after overstaying her welcome,” reads the YouTube video description. “Seriously stop being so sensitive about this… It’s a punk rock show.”

This is not the first time Cannon has kicked a fan off stage while The Story So Far performed. Last June, Music Feeds reported that the singer kicked a fan off stage for taking a selfie at a show in Texas.

The identity of the young woman in the Toronto incident has yet to be confirmed.

Toronto police have said they are not pursuing charges in this case as no one has come forward to pose a formal complaint.
