A Toronto woman suffered burns and smoke inhalation after a fire in a TCHC apartment building on Saturday night.

Toronto Paramedic Services said the woman was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital and that her injuries were non-life-threatening.

Firefighters were called to the Toronto Community Housing building at 250 Davenport Road, in the Yorkville area, around 11 p.m. on Saturday.

Toronto Fire Capt. Stephan Powell confirmed several hours later that the two-alarm blaze was out.

The fire did not appear to be suspicious, but it was not clear where it had started.
