FORT ERIE, Ont. - An 18-year-old woman was killed after a car spun out on icy roads in the Niagara region.

Reilly Anzovino was a passenger in a car travelling on Highway 3 in the town of Fort Erie, Ont., late Saturday night.

Provincial police say another 18-year-old woman, who was driving the car, lost control on icy roads and spun into oncoming traffic around 11:30 p.m.

The car was broadsided by another vehicle and the driver was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, but Anzovino was pronounced dead.

Both young women were from Fort Erie, though police say Anzovino was attending college in Ottawa.

From the second car the 50-year-old male driver and two female passengers, aged 38 and 21, all from Fort Erie, were taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
