A winter weather travel advisory is no longer in effect for the GTA.
Earlier this morning, light snow and freezing drizzle prompted Environment Canada to issue an advisory, warning motorists of poor driving conditions.
“Some light freezing rain (is) expected in Toronto shortly. This may produce icy conditions on some untreated roads," the national weather agency's advisory read.
"Temperatures are expected to rise above zero around the noon hour in most places with some drizzle or a few rain showers expected this afternoon. This will bring an end to the threat for local icy conditions."
The City of Toronto had salt trucks out on the main roads and expressways in response to the snow.
Toronto will see a high of 3 C today. There is no snow or precipitation in the forecast on Tuesday or Wednesday and daytime highs for both days are expected to be above the freezing mark.
