Police in Windsor have identified the body of a homicide victim discovered in the ruins of a fire Saturday morning.

On Sunday, police identified the victim as 65-year-old Dale Allen Young of Windsor.

Fire crews responded to the fire just after 5 a.m. Saturday.

When the fire was put out around 30 minutes later, a body was discovered inside a bedroom.

Police say the body had clear signs of trauma, indicating that a homicide had occurred.

Investigators also say evidence collected at the scene showed that the fire was deliberately set.

Police say the suspected motive and the cause of death will not be released at this time.
