It’s going to be another frigid night in the GTA.

Environment Canada has issued a wind chill warning, and temperatures are expected to dip down to -30 C with the wind chill on Thursday night.

The weather agency warns of strong, gusty winds producing winds chills as low as -30 to -35 C across most of southern Ontario, as a bitterly cold Arctic air mass passes through the province.

Toronto will also be hit with light flurries and wind gusts as high as 70 kilometres per hour on Thursday evening.

Regions across Ontario, spanning from Windsor to Kingston, have also been placed under an extreme wind chill alert.

Areas near Barrie and London are also under a snow squall warning and motorists have been asked to exercise caution as blowing snow may reduce visibility on the roads.

Environment Canada is advising anyone planning on heading outside this afternoon to dress warmly and cover up as much exposed skin as possible.

The bitterly cold weather is expected to improve by Friday, with temperatures rising up to -10 C by the afternoon.
