WHITBY, Ont. - Police in Whitby, Ont., are asking children and parents to check Halloween stashes after a girl found a needle in a piece of candy.
The 11-year-old girl was eating the candy last night when she found the small needle.
She was not injured.
She was trick or treating on Hialeah Crescent and Manning Road between 6:30 and 8:15 on Monday night.
Police say Halloween treats should be checked thoroughly.
