Scheduled repairs and road maintenance along Highway 401 could mean headaches for some drivers travelling west of the Toronto.

The Ministry of Transportation will be closing down lanes of the westbound Highway 401 through Mississauga for pavement replacement throughout the weekend.

Highway 401 westbound express will be reduced from three lanes to one lane between Kennedy Road and McLaughlin Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday. The lanes will be reduced again from 10 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday.

The ramps from Hurontario Street to Highway 401 West will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday and all westbound lanes of Highway 401 west of Dixie Road to Mavis Road will be closed from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. on Sunday. Traffic will be diverted onto Highway 410 and Highway 403.

Construction on Highway 401 westbound express lanes is expected to continue until summer 2013.

Drivers in the city should expect delays in the Beach for the annual Beaches International Jazz Festival.

Queen Street East will be closed in both directions from Woodbine Avenue to Beech Avenue from 6 p.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday. TTC streetcars will be diverted off Queen Street during the festival.

Kensington Pedestrian Sunday will see much of Kensington Market closed to vehicular traffic from noon to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.
