TORONTO - Prominent Toronto lawyer Calvin Barry has been charged with sexual assault.
Toronto police Const. Tony Vella says the alleged assault occurred last month, and Barry was charged Monday.
Vella says the complainant is 31 years old.
Barry spent 16 years working as a senior Crown attorney before entering private practice in 2004.
He's scheduled to appear in a Toronto court on July 29.
