Toronto motorists can expect delays on the roads this weekend as several major events close streets around the city.

On Saturday afternoon, a G20 Anniversary Rally will be held at Queens Park from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Traffic is expected to slow in the surrounding area, according to police. Motorists are asked to avoid the area, including Queens Park Crescent.

On Saturday evening, the International Indian Film Academy awards will be hosted at the Rogers Centre, bringing rotating lane closures to Bremner Boulevard, near Lower Simcoe Street. Side streets in the area may be closed if required, and motorists are asked to take public transit if they will be in the area.

A stretch of Highway 401, from Hurontario Street to Mavis Road in Mississauga will be closed from 11 p.m. on Saturday to 9 a.m. on Sunday morning. The exit ramp at Park Lawn Road on the Gardiner Expressway will also be closed overnight, from 11 p.m. on Friday, to 5 a.m. on Sunday.

On Sunday, the Walk Now for Autism Speaks will be held at Nathan Phillips Square, closing the northbound lanes of University Avenue, from Queen Street West to College Street. The lanes will be closed from 9 a.m. to noon.

Kensington Market will host the second Pedestrian Sunday of the year, closing Augusta Avenue and Baldwin Street from 12 p.m to 7 p.m.
