Several road closures will be in effect across the city this weekend.

Drivers will be forced to seek alternative routes as the Gardiner Expressway from the Humber River to Carlaw Avenue will be closed in both directions from 2 a.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday. The highway will be closed for maintenance work.

A number of roads will also be closed for a number of events happening around town.

Bloor Street will be closed from Jane Street to east of Runnymede until Sunday at midnight, as the street becomes host to the Bloor West Village Ukrainian Festival.

Saturday

Queen Street will be closed from Roncesvalles Avenue to Dundas Street West from 6 a.m. Saturday to 11 p.m. Sunday to accommodate the Roncesvalles Polish Festival.

Sunday

From 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Sunday an area stretching from St. Clair Avenue West southbound to Davenport Road and Christie Street eastbound to Russell Hill Road will be closed for the Toronto 5K Race. The race raises funds for the Sick Kids Foundation.

Also on Sunday, two lanes of Richmond Street running west of University Avenue will be closed for film production from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
