HAMILTON, Ont. - Two Toronto residents have been charged after a drug bust at a Hamilton home.
Hamilton police allege officers raided the home on Leckie Avenue near Highland Road West on Thursday night and found a marijuana grow operation.
Police say officers discovered nearly 1,400 marijuana plants on the main floor and basement level of the home.
It's alleged the foundation of the home was altered to bypass utility meters.
Wei Liang Zhou, 21, and Liu Ming Jing, 30, face several drug-related charges and theft of electricity.
Police say they are expected in court today.
