Two men in a taxi were stopped and arrested in a high risk takedown after a man was shot at the Jane Finch Mall early Tuesday afternoon.
Toronto police said the two suspects were arrested a distance from 1911 Finch Ave. West, near Jane Street, shortly after a man was shot in the leg.
It is unclear whether the man was shot inside the mall, but police said two suspects fled the scene shortly before 12 p.m.
Const. Tony Vella said the men were spotted and arrested by two officers posted in the area on traffic detail. He said a gun was also seized.
A man in his late teens or early 20s suffered non life-threatening wounds.
