A two-alarm blaze at an apartment building in North York has been deemed suspicious and the fire marshal has been called in to investigate.

The fire broke out in an apartment on the 24th floor of a building on Forest Laneway near Yonge St. and Sheppard Ave. at around 9:50 a.m. Sunday morning.

About 12 fire trucks and 45 firefighters responded to the scene and the blaze was knocked down within about 15 minutes.

One occupant was then found on the balcony suffering from burns to their hand and feet.

No damage was caused to other apartments.
