LEEDS, Ont. -- Provincial police say a section of Highway 401 in eastern Ontario is expected to remain closed until 8 p.m. Wednesday after a truck carrying freezies caught fire.

Police say the transport truck caught fire in the eastbound lanes of the highway west of Brockville, Ont., early Wednesday morning.

They say the truck became completely engulfed in flames causing the closure of the east and westbound lanes of Highway 401.

OPP say no injuries are reported.

The Ministry of the Environment is investigating a diesel spill at the site.

Police say the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 will remain closed to allow for removal of the vehicle, resurfacing of the highway and the environmental investigation and cleanup.
