Transport truck collision in Brampton sends 1 person to hospital
One person was taken to a trauma centre after a transport truck crashed into a ditch in Brampton overnight.
It happened around 10:40 p.m. in the area of Coleraine Drive and Countryside Drive, Peel Regional Police said.
Images from the scene show the transport truck tilted on its side in the ditch, surrounded by emergency vehicles.
According to reports from the scene, fire crews had to extricate one person from the cab of the truck.
A passenger was subsequently transported to a trauma centre, Peel police said.
It’s not yet clear what caused the collision.
Coleraine Drive is closed between Countyside Drive and Mayfield Road as police investigate the crash.
