Ontario police say they have located the tractor-trailer involved in a highway rollover that left an 11-year-old boy dead earlier this week.

Ontario Provincial Police said the tractor-trailer was found at a Brampton repair shop on Tuesday, the same day a van was rear-ended and spun into the ditch in Beamsville, Ont., between Hamilton and St. Catharines.

OPP Sgt. Dave Woodford said police located the truck thanks to reports from the community and executed a search warrant on the repair shop Wednesday night.

The van was carrying nine occupants, including an infant. An 11-year-old boy was killed and eight other passengers were taken to hospital following the crash.

Police said at the time that they believed a tractor-trailer was involved in the crash and failed to remain at the scene.

Woodford said police are still searching for the driver, and have yet to decide what charges will be laid.
