CHATHAM, Ont. - Police in Chatham, Ont., needed tracker dogs early Sunday after a man ran away from a car crash.

They say the collision occurred north of the town at a construction zone when a vehicle slammed head-on into another at a stop light.

The driver of the first vehicle ran off.

Police, with the help of dogs, found the man nearby.

The driver and passenger in the second vehicle were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Facing various charges, including impaired driving and failing to remain at a crash scene, is 32-year-old Charles Wilkins of Wallaceburg, Ont.
