Toronto police are searching for a 20-year-old Ontario Hockey League player who has been missing since March 3.
Terry Trafford, a centre for the OHL’s Saginaw Spirit in Michigan, has not been seen or heard from for the past several days.
Toronto police issued a statement Sunday evening requesting the public’s assistance in locating the missing Toronto man.
Police say Trafford was last seen Monday morning at around 9:30 a.m., leaving the state of Michigan for his home in Toronto.
He was last seen driving a green pickup truck with the Michigan licence plate CJA 2235.
Trafford is described as a black male, 5-feet-11-inches tall, weighing 190 pounds.
The Saginaw Spirit organization released a statement Sunday afternoon, saying they were “very concerned” about Trafford’s whereabouts.
“The entire Spirit organization is very concerned for the young man and we hope and pray that he is safe and found soon,” the statement read.
“We currently have no further comment until the professionals searching for him complete their work.”
Teammates and fellow OHL players from across the league have taken to Twitter, asking the public for any information on his whereabouts.
