Toronto police have arrested an international fugitive wanted in the United Kingdom in connection with a murder.
Mohamud Mahad who is also known as Kalid Sharif, was taken into police custody Tuesday around 9:30 a.m.
Mahad, 27, has been considered a fugitive since 2003 when he fled the U.K. for Canada.
Mahad is alleged to have been in an altercation with a man who later died.
A warrant for Mahad's arrest was issued by South Wales Police.
Mahad is to appear at a University Avenue court on Thursday around 10 a.m.
