A Toronto man and woman are facing a total of 20 charges, including attempted murder and carrying a concealed weapon, after an altercation at a restaurant in the Riverdale neighbourhood on Saturday.

The incident occurred around 11 p.m., police said, when three people started arguing inside a restaurant at Danforth and Jones avenues.

Two people -- a man and a woman -- challenged a 19-year-old man to “take the argument outside.” The man and woman then left the restaurant.

A short time later, police said the 19-year-old man decided to leave and was confronted by the man and woman as he walked out.

The 19-year-old man was then shot, according to police. He was taken to hospital when officers arrived on scene.

Two suspects were located a short distance away and arrested.

At the time of the arrest, police seized a loaded .45 caliber semi-automatic gun with one round in the chamber.

Daniel Green, 31, was charged with attempted murder, 10 weapons-related charges, resisting arrest and two counts of failure to comply with probation.

Randi Wasylyk, 29, faces six weapons-related charges and accessory after the fact.

They were scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.
