TORONTO - Toronto police say three men face several drug charges following an investigation that began last year into a marijuana grow operation.

Police say search warrants were executed at three homes and officers seized five vehicles and cash, along with grow equipment and 2,400 marijuana plants.

Police say two of the homes were being used to produce marijuana while the third was in the process of being set up as a grow operation.

Du Long Chu, 69, Van Duc Nguyen, 47, and Thi Phuong Doan, 41, all of Toronto, are charged with producing marijuana, possession of marijuana, and theft of electricity.

Du Long Chu is faces an additional charge of possession of proceeds of crime.

Van Duc Nguyen and Thi Phuong Doan are also charged with conspiracy to produce marijuana.
