Police are investigating after two early morning stabbings in Toronto left three people injured on Sunday.

Two men, 18 and 20 years old, were stabbed on Jameson Avenue near King Street and Lansdowne Avenue at 1:44 a.m., police said.

One man was taken to St. Michael's hospital with non-life threatening injuries and underwent surgery. The other was treated at the scene.

Police said it appears the incident was a fight that escalated and that the men knew each other.

At about 2:30 a.m. another man was stabbed in the Dundas and Bathurst Streets area.

Police said the man, in his 40s, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital where he was later released.

The suspect in the stabbing is known to the victim, police said.

Police are still investigating both incidents.
