Three men have been arrested after a violent robbery took place at an illegal Toronto gaming house in October.

Two men walked into the gaming house, located in the Kennedy Road and Lawrence Avenue area, wearing masks on Oct. 29, police said.

They were armed with a .38 calibre revolver and a 12-gauge shotgun, according to investigators. They took control of an employee and demanded cash, police said.

The two men and gaming house patrons then became involved in a physical fight and shots were fired. A patron was able to subdue one of the two men and held him until police arrived.

The other man, police said, fled in a getaway car that was driven by a third man.

In a news release issued Monday, police said three men now collectively face more than a dozen charges between them.

Toronto resident Cameron Snapp, 20, was arrested and is facing eight charges, including robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent and assault with a weapon.

Toronto resident Shakeen Waugh-Hutchinson, 20, was arrested and charged with the same eight charges.

Tajh Rouse, a 21-year-old man from Toronto, was charged with robbery with a firearm.

They were scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 4.
