Three dogs shocked, two die in east-end Toronto

TORONTO - Two dogs have been electrocuted by a shorted power line near Queen and Parliament Streets in Toronto.

Police say three dogs were shocked, but two were not able to withstand the jolt.

One constable who went to the scene was also shocked by the shorted power line that was hidden under a metal plate, but police say she wasn't injured.

Toronto Hydro workers are on the scene dealing with the problem.
