Traffic was briefly delayed in downtown Toronto on Monday when a chunk of concrete from the Gardiner Expressway fell onto Lakeshore Boulevard.

City of Toronto representative Steve Johnston said the piece weighed about 10 pounds (4.54 kilograms) and fell onto the westbound lane of the busy road, just east of Bathurst Street,

Crews inspected the scene and worked to removed debris from the area.

They are expected to return tomorrow for an additional inspection.
