TORONTO - The Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan is considering selling its share of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment.

The organization made the announcement in a brief statement released late Saturday.

Currently, the pension plan has a 66 per cent majority share of Maple Leaf Entertainment.

The fund is the largest single-profession pension plan in Canada and has more than $100 billion in assets.

It represents the pensions of nearly 300,000 Ontario teachers.
