Toronto police are looking for two men after a 27-year-old woman said she was sexually assaulted inside a downtown apartment building elevator.

The woman told investigators she was approached by two men just after midnight on Tuesday in the area of Simcoe Street and Richmond Street West.

The complainant said the men led inside an apartment building at 140 Simcoe St. The suspects led the woman inside the lobby elevator and sexually assaulted her, police said.

The men were seen leaving the elevator on an unknown floor.

The first suspect is described as:

  • Between 18 and 24 years of age
  • About 5-foot-8
  • Short, dark-brown hair
  • A medium build
  • Possibly Sri Lankan or Middle Eastern descent
  • He was wearing a brown jacket and brown pants.

The second suspect is described as:

  • Between 20 and 25 years of age
  • Between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-8
  • About 150 pounds
  • Possibly Sri Lankan or Middle Eastern descent
  • He was wearing a dark-blue pinstripe suit and a light-blue hat
