The female suspect who was wanted in connection with an alleged theft that took place during last week's Grand Pride Wedding at Casa Loma has turned herself in.

Investigators say the 23-year-old Toronto woman turned herself in to police on Tuesday, just one day after police posted a photo of the suspect online.

A similar image was also posted on a Toronto woman's Facebook page on June 28 as she publicly appealed for help in the alleged theft.

The post by Julie Kinnear, who says she was a guest at the Grand Pride, was then shared more than 3,900 times.

"Do you know this person? I need your help in identifying (the suspect). Unfortunately she tried to ruin the Grand WorldPride wedding at Casa Loma (last) Thursday by stealing my sister's partner's pink purse," Kinnear wrote.

Last Thursday, more than 100 LGBTQ couples tied the knot during a mass ceremony. It was part of the 2014 WorldPride festivities.

Emma Burtch has been charged with theft under $5,000. She is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 15.
