Police are searching for a suspect following a robbery in the Woodbridge neighbourhood of Vaughan.

The robbery occurred at a Scotiabank, located in the area of Islington and Napa Valley Avenues, at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, York Regional Police said.

Few details have been released, but an object that appeared to be a gun was seen lying on a nearby sidewalk when reporters arrived.

Police said they are looking for two male suspects. The first is a white male with dark hair who is believed to be in his early 20s, wearing blue jeans and a black jacket. The second is also believed to be in his early 20s, and is wearing all black.

Police said at least one of the suspects may be armed.

"Do not approach suspects, call 911," police wrote on Twitter.
