A 39-year-old man is in police custody, charged with murdering a Hamilton mother of three.
Hamilton police arrested a suspect on Wednesday night, hours after the woman's body was found stabbed to death inside a house on Elkwood Drive, near Upper James Street and The Lincoln Alexander Parkway.
A 13-year-old girl was also hurt in the attack, suffering a stab wound to her stomach. Police say the girl managed to escape and run to a neighbour's house for help.
The suspect is said to be the ex-boyfriend of the murder victim.
Cengiz Isiko has been charged with murder and attempted murder.
