Police have released several photos of persons of interest as part of their investigation into a fatal shooting in Toronto's Chinatown neighbourhood.

The photos were released during a news conference Wednesday, where police appealed to witnesses to come forward.

The shooting occurred in the area of Spadina Avenue and Nassau Street, at approximately 3:15 a.m. on Jan. 31.

Police said a group of men were involved in some kind of altercation when one suspect opened fire at the group.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while four others were taken to hospital. One of the four who were injured died of his injuries later that morning. The deceased have been identified as Quinn Taylor and David Eminess.

On Wednesday, police released 10 surveillance camera photos of people who were in the area at the time. The people in the photos are persons of interest in the investigation, officers said.

Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area or can identify the people in the photos to contact them at 416-808-7400. Tips can also be left anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 416-222-8477 (TIPS).
