Sudden death investigation underway in Hamilton, Ont.

TORONTO -

Hamilton police are conducting a sudden death investigation after finding a body on Friday.

A deceased man was discovered in the area of Wellington Street South and Young Street. Hamilton police have deemed this case suspicious.

At this point in time, the cause of death is unknown, Hamilton police told CTV News Toronto. An autopsy is being conducted, which should provide more information tomorrow.

Police could not disclose the time of day the individual was discovered.

The investigation has resulted in road closures on West Avenue from Young Street to Stinson Street.
