TORONTO - Slippery roads are blamed for two fatal accidents on Ontario roads this weekend while speed was a likely the factor in a third fatality.

In Mount Forest, the driver of a small car died when it skidded in blowing snow on Highway 6, crossed into oncoming traffic, and was hit by a van.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene of Saturday's crash while two people in the van were treated for minor injuries.

Waterloo Regional police say poor roads likely contributed to a collision in Woolwich Township Saturday that killed an 18-year-old woman.

Jessica Hinton of Baden was in a minivan packed with her boyfriend's family when the vehicle spun into oncoming traffic.

The third fatality saw a 20-year-old Mississauga man died in a crash on Queen Elizabeth Way and police say speed was a likely factor.
