ALLISTON, Ont. -- Ontario's police watchdog is investigating the death of a 34-year-old man in Alliston, Ont.
The Special Investigations Unit says an OPP officer attempted to stop a motorcycle shortly after midnight.
The SIU says a short time later the motorcycle struck a construction barrier.
The man was taken to the Stevenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston, where he was later pronounced dead.
The SIU is an arm's length agency that investigates reports involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
Anyone with information on the collision is asked to contact the SIU.
