A man was shot and killed early Friday at a north Toronto plaza, but there's no word on what led to the shooting.

Police found the body after being called to a restaurant on Keele Street between Wilson and Sheppard Avenues.

One local resident said he heard about three gunshots and saw about 150 people running from the scene.

The plaza is close to Downsview Park, which had hosted Canada Day festivities.

A man, presumed to be in his early 20s, got into an argument with two others -- an argument that escalated into fatal gunshots being fired in the parking area in front of a fish-and-chips restaurant.

Investigators are now looking for witnesses. They also hope to review security video from the plaza.

The victim's name has not been released. He is the city's 25th homicide victim of 2010.

A woman identified as the man's fiance said she had faith the killers will be caught.
