HAMILTON, Ont. - Police have arrested a second suspect after a woman was assaulted and confined in a Hamilton home.

They say 23-year-old Kayla Harrison was taken into custody Wednesday night and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing today.

Police issued a warrant for her arrest this week on aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement and breach of probation.

Her co-accused, 33-year-old Michael White, was arrested Tuesday on a similar warrant.

White also faces charges of uttering death threats.

Police say the 24-year-old victim was invited into the home and violently assaulted by a female suspect before a man then joined the attack, as both allegedly struck her with a metal pole.

She allegedly tried to flee several times but was forcibly confined for hours before she could escape. She suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
