Scarborough school in 'hold and secure' after stabbing
A Scarborough high school is taking special precautions Monday after a man was stabbed in a nearby apartment building.
Police say a woman stabbed the man in his torso at 31 Gilder Dr., near Midland and Eglinton Avenues.
Police and paramedics were called at about 10 a.m., and the man was taken to hospital shortly afterward. He was listed in serious but not life-threatening condition.
The 25-year-old suspect remains at large and Jean Vanier Catholic Secondary School was placed into "hold and secure" mode, restricting movement in and out of the building. Students and staff can move freely within the school.
