Investigators are probing the cause of a fire which burned through a housing development in the city's east end.

Officials say the fire burned through three homes which were under construction in Scarborough early Saturday morning.

As many as 45 firefighters and nearly a dozen fire trucks were on the scene battling the flames

The two-alarm fire broke out around 4 a.m. near Burnhill Road and Warden Avenue and it was extinguished about an hour later.

Damage has been estimated at $150,000 and there were no injuries.

Officials haven't said if the cause of the blaze is suspicious, but the Ontario Fire Marshal's Office is also looking into the fire.
