GODERICH, Ont. - A band roadie from Goderich, Ont., has been charged with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy in the 1970s.
Police say the man used his job as a stage and laser-light technician for music bands in the Toronto area to entice victims.
Investigators say a 13-year-old boy was sexually assaulted over several months in the '70s, but only came forward to police this past May.
Lawrence Michael Roberts, also known as L. Michael Roberts, 60, has been charged with indecent assault on a male, buggery, and making or possessing obscene matter.
He is due in court Sept. 14.
Police say the accused travelled extensively and lived in other areas, and there could be other alleged victims.
