NEW YORK - Raptors forward Joey Dorsey was suspended for one game by the NBA on Thursday for swinging his arm at the head of Chicago forward Brian Scalabrine in a pre-season game.

The incident occurred late in the fourth quarter of the Bulls' 109-90 win over the visiting Raptors last Tuesday night.

Dorsey will serve his suspension in the first game of the regular season for which he is eligible and physically able to play, the NBA said in a release.

The Raptors open the regular season at home against the New York Knicks on Oct. 27.
