Police are searching for the owner of an old Mercedes-Benz after a fatal hit-and-run took the life of a mother of three on Sunday.
The incident happened shortly after 9 p.m. in the Bloor Street and Dovercourt Road area.
Police say 39-year-old Nelisa Damota was attempting to cross Bloor Street West, west of Dovercourt Road and was struck by a vehicle and thrown onto the road.
The woman was then struck by a second vehicle.
The first vehicle failed to remain at the scene, police say.
Police say she was transported to hospital without vital signs.
The vehicle has been described as a white four-door Mercedes-Benz S Class manufactured between 1986 and 1991. Police believe it will have some damage to its front end. It may also have a damaged headlight.
The victim has not yet been publicly identified.
