Toronto police are on the lookout for three men believed to be behind three attempted robberies within an hour Wednesday morning.
Police said a group of three black men, possibly with Jamaican accents, entered three banks between about 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Wednesday, threatening tellers and making off with an undisclosed amount of money.
Const. Victor Kwong told CTVToronto.ca that witnesses at each bank described similar suspects as well as a similar getaway car.
"They are connected and the suspects are still outstanding," Kwong said.
At 10:04 a.m., two black men with bandanas over their faces reportedly entered a Royal Bank at 2766 Keele St., near Wilson Avenue.
Police say no weapons were seen and the suspects left without any money, fleeing in a black Honda.
At 10:23 a.m., two to three men reportedly entered a Scotiabank near 2175 Sheppard Av. E. and the Don Valley Parkway.
The suspects in that incident are described as black men with Jamaican accents who wore black bandanas over their faces.
Kwong said the men had guns and left the bank with a quantity of money that included a dye pack set to explode when the package is opened.
The suspects were seen leaving the scene in a four-door Honda Civic.
At 11:01 a.m., police say two suspects entered a CIBC at 1500 Islington Ave. near Rathburn Road in Etobicoke and left with a quantity of money.
The suspects again reportedly wore bandanas over their faces and left the scene in a black Honda.
