OSHAWA, Ont. - Seven teens are facing charges after taking part in what police are calling a crime spree in Oshawa, Ont.

Police say several people were seen stealing from a grocery store on King Street East at around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday and then fleeing in a stolen vehicle.

The suspects were also seen going through unlocked parked vehicles.

They were arrested at a nearby intersection close to Highway 401.

Police charged 18-year-old Sean Griffiths of Ajax with theft and possession of stolen property offences.

A 15-year-old girl from Ajax, 16-year-old boy from Whitby and four 17-year-olds from Durham face the same charges. Their identities are protected by the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
